Why Buffalo?

We are the city of good neighbors, a rustbelt city in Western NY who won’t give up on our teams, our town, or our people. Just as we are invested together in Sierra Leone (a community there), Hope Rising Together (formerly Let Them LOL) is a community here invested in renewal and restoration through youth initiatives, volunteering, giving opportunities, and seeking to empower a better future for all.

As Let Them LOL transitions into Hope Rising Together, we are thrilled to bring greater involvement to our community of Buffalo, NY. This begins with the transformation of the Kellogg silo building into a center for community empowerment. We want to facilitate youth leadership opportunities, local partnerships, flexible meeting space, podcast and creative studios, group volunteering, theater, art therapy, and much more (scroll down for more of our vision).

Kid’s Gala

Our Kids Gala is an opportunity for kids in grades K-3 and grades 4-8 to come together for a fun, inspiring evening to help bring clean water and hope for a better future to kids in Sierra Leone!

Running Buffalo

We are the City of Good Neighbors here and around the world! Run our 5K or walk 1 mile in your best Buffalo gear and help bring clean water, education & healthcare to Sierra Leone & provide resources to support our WNY community.

Water Gala

Join us and over 700 guests for an inspiring evening to help sustain our programs, including: Live music, basket & live auctions, a moving presentation, photo op/red carpet, walk-through experience, and more!

Facility Rental

Our space is available for rent by like minded organizations and businesses for your event

MEAL PACKING

Malnutrition is a huge problem in Sierra Leone. To tackle this head-on, we’re able to pack highly nutritious meals and ship them from here in Buffalo, NY. Not only this, but with a partnership through the Food Bank of WNY we can also build up and sustain our local community in the process. All of this is coordinated and funded by you through Hope Rising Together! We can’t do this without your support.
